Freeport Insurance Agents & Brokers Limited (F.I.A) was founded in December 1st 2014. Our principals – Lawrence Palmer, President; Donald Ward, Vice President and Deborah Knowles, Director of Business Development. We are fully licensed by the Insurance Commission of The Bahamas, and fully insured in respect of professional indemnity and fidelity guarantee.
Our offices are located at the Freeport Insurance Center, 21B West Mall & Poinciana Drive, Freeport, Grand Bahama. We have a branch office located on East Bay Plaza, East Bay Street, Nassau, New Providence.

We currently have a total staff complement of 20 between our two offices. We have qualified and experienced staff possessing Chartered Insurance Institute of the United Kingdom certifications.
We provide motor, homeowners, condominium, fire, contractors all risks, public liability, employers liability, theft, money, personal accident, life, medical, marine, bonds, professional indemnity and malpractice to name a few.
We are currently agents for Bahamas First and CG United Insurance Company Ltd. Both are multiregional insurance carriers with excellent track records and all rated A M Best A- Excellent. We are also brokers for more than seven major life and medical insurers who operate in the Bahamian market.
